our lives. And, it will become a
permanent record of the members of
the class of 1989. However, now that
our high school years have ended, and
we are looking toward the future, it
is appropriate to return and reflect
upon those high school years which
have led to this memorable of
years.

A new phase of our lives had begun
when, as freshmen, we walked into
the front foyer of Randolph High
School. We were faced with having to
adjust to a new environment, to more
responsibility, and to the pressures
of parents and more studying, new

friendships were formed, and

some old ones lost. Such events

as class dances and 'the Jungle'

jegun to come together
is one group, the Class
rf 1989.

\s Sophomores, we
vere at a slight
idvantage. We were
amiliar with the
ichool. We knew our
vay around. We were
>ne year closer to
>eing upperclassmen.
Ve used teamwork to
>ell beach towels,
Dut, most importantly,
eamwork was the

dominating factor in the

Sophomore victory over the

Juniors during the

Sophomore/Junior basketball game.

game. The deaths of our

Principal, Philip M. Saba,

and a member of the senior

10

class, Arziela Lomba, deeply saddened us.

Our Junior year was a memorable one. We were now

officially "upperclassmen" and had many events to which

to look forward. Many of us experienced the thrill of
receiving our driver's licenses. At this point, our
high school career was halfway finished, yet there was
much more to be accomplished. Santas Dream, the first
semi-formal dance of high school, arrived on Dec. 11, 1987.

feeling of togetherness.

Finally, the school

year ended, and we

prepared ourselves

to become

Seniors.

While most high school students were
home eating turkey on Thanksgiving,
members of the ShowChoir, "Illusions",
were singing and dancing down Broadway
in the Macy's Parade.

"Illusions" was able to perform in a 500
member showchoir "America Sings."
'America Sings" was formed to raise mon-
ey for the outstanding number of homeless
children in America.

During the three day stay in New York,
the students were able to study with John
Jacobsen, a renowned ShowChoir director
and prestigious choreographer. Jacobsen
produced and directed "America Sings."

June, 1989

Dear Senior Class of 1989:

Congratulations to you and your families as you pass a major
milestone in your life.

Graduation Day will be one of the most memorable events of your
high school experience. It is a day of mixed emotions - pride and
optimism as you approach adulthood, but also sadness and anxiety as
you leave your familiar surroundings and close friends.

On behalf of the Randolph High School administration, faculty,
and staff, I would like to thank all of you for your varied
contributions to our school. We .have been very impressed with the
Class of 1989, and look forward to hearing about your successes in the
future.

Sincerely,

(®£/*^> ,/Y^t-K^

Senior Superlatives

Each year, the
Seniors decide who
among their class-
mates best repre-
sents various cate-
gories. The Deci-
sion is difficult; the
vote always close
since Randolph
High School is a ha-
ven for winners.
